UNCOMMON STORY
My name is Andre D. Williams, and my story is not uncommon. I was born in Nashville, Tn. I'm sure everyone knows where that is by now. I have lived in Detroit, Mi for the last 20+ years and it's been quite an adventure. I have seen the changes that this beautiful city has endured and have really come to appreciate its people.
I grew up in Nashville with a passion for photography under the guidance of my dad, Eddie Williams in film photography using 35mm, medium and large format cameras, with my first experience being with a Yashica Twin Lens (top view) camera.
While I grew up around the darkroom, I really didn't pick the camera up again until later years. It's strange that when you're young you often can't see what's in front of you - the grass seems greener in everyone else' yard. Life's funny that way. Please enjoy, I welcome your responses.
THE IDEA OF ART
Art Photography can be an expressive and artistic approach that goes beyond simply capturing a scene.
My vision, emotions, and concepts are captured through a visual narrative. This blending of creativity with technical skills, are often characterized by unique compositions, dramatic lighting, and a deep attention to detail. Yet still, some things are even accidental - often provoking the best responses.
Through the awe-inspiring elements of nature, careful composition, lighting, and timing, landscape photographers aim to evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world, inspiring viewers to see the environment in new and meaningful ways. The best things in life can sometimes be seen through our peripheral.
